Painting conservation, fine art restoration
I work in Wallingford (Oxfordshire and Berkshire ) with the restoration of paintings and murals, returning works to their original condition in a professional manner. Damage may include surface abrasions, previous painting techniques that lead to deterioration over time, cracking, or rips in the canvas that need to be repaired. In some cases damage is caused to the canvas, not just the paint layers, in which case the damaged canvas must be repaired, or replaced with aesthetic additions.
According to one the most important guideline of conservationists, all interventions should be the smallest and always reversible.
