About Us STD Civils Ltd is an established family owned and operated Civil Engineering Contractor located in Stanbridge, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Established in 1998 by its founder, Stephen Tom Doody, the Company originally operated as STD Plumbing and Moleing, with over thirty years experience within the water and building industry. We work hard to develop lasting relationships with our clients and our business has grown largely from repeat work and word of mouth recommendation. The Management is committed to maintaining and developing the necessary systems including environmental, quality management and health and safety. Projects vary in cost from a few hundred pounds to £80,000 for both public and private sector clients and the flexible approach of the Company has resulted in a steady growth.
We regularly perform replacement water mains and water leak repairs. The company is an Anglian Water/Thames Water approved contractor for sewerage and water.
Wherever possible, we use a thrustbore so that the repair, or renewal, of your water service causes the minimum possible disturbance to your garden and hard landscaping.
Our NRSWA and confined space trained engineers are experienced in sewer connections, manhole and sewer repairs, together with sewer lining.
We are also experienced in site adoption works, so are able to tarmac, blockpave, concrete and repair kerb edgings as required by the Highways.
