University students join the OTC to acquire "skills for life". It is a fun and challenging environment to offer the students (from Oxford, Ox Brookes, Reading, Cirencester and Cheeltenham Universities) who are the future leaders of industry the opportunity to experience a bit of the fun of the Army. We operate as a Uni society which pays the students. There is no onward commitment to join the Army properly and there is no commitment to be sent on operations whilst with the OTC.
