I was a competitive runner and I was sponsored by a specialist running store for more than 3 years. Unfortunately I sustained a hamstring injury and was unable to continue competing.
Though I continued running, I never fully recovered from my injury, and was in pain every time that I ran for a period of ~5 years. This is when my boyfriend bought me 12 sessions with Gerald as a present. I wanted to have a personal trainer who could help me to fix my hamstring and get back to running.
I did a couple of session in Battersea park, where Gerald evaluated my posture and form as a runner. As I only needed a few small adjustments he suggested that we did strength training in a gym. Gerald thought that my main issue was coming from a weakness in my glutes, and that my hamstring was not firing properly. We followed his plan, and did one session per week for 8 weeks.
I am now finally able to run without pain fr the first time in 5 years.
I have already been running 3 times and it felt good.
