Jay is a man of his word. He gave a thorough inspection and reasonable quote. He then completed the work to a very high standard, as promised. Excellent service throughout job and even came back to fix another leak I noticed after initial work was finished. I would highly recommend Skilled Roofing

Jay Matthews (Skilled Roofing) was recommended to me and I am very pleased that I acted upon the recommmendation for he has been excellent. The work carried out for me was to re-board and re-line 50 sq.mtrs of flat roofing that had been down for 34 years but now leaking in three areas and needing complete replacement. Now though, thanks to Jay and his team, it's been transformed and done to a standard of excellence. Jay is meticulous, makes worthwhile suggestions and explains the work being carried out as he goes along, in truth, goes the extra distance to ensure customer satisfaction. All areas throughout have always been kept clean and tidy and neighbours too commented on this plus how hard they worked! I am truly very happy with the outcome. I will definitely call on Skilled Roofing again to carry out other much smaller repairs but for the present I'm comforted knowing weather wise my flat roof can truly withstand all the elements.

Jay and his team came out to look at our flat roof above the kitchen. We needed extensive repairs to prevent more leaking. His quote was very fair and the job was done in a tidy and timely fashion. Would definately recommend to others.

Rebedded ridges and verges replacing broken tiles. Moss cleaned and faults with guttering remedied. An efficient job carried out by a polite and conscientious team. All mess cleared away. Would use again.

Had a problem with chimney flashing falling off, having not been fitted correctly way back when. Needed stripping & new fitting properly. Having been let down by 1 roofer who simply didn't turn up to quote, I phoned Jay on the 12th, having seen his positive reviews on Yell. I received a verbal quote by phone on the 14th, answering all of my questions & describing in detail the work to be done. Job completed on the 19th, delayed by a day due to problems with a previous job, which Jay advised me of in plenty of time. I found Jay & his apprentice to be cheerful, professional & hard-working.

Jay and his workers did a meticulous job on replacing my flat roof, Jay was upfront and honest right from the beginning and his prices were very competitive. He also removed a considerable amount of ivy from my main roof which had gone into the roof itself; under the tiling. Jay is a hard-working and conscientious roofer who takes pride in his work. I will definitely use him again and recommend his services to anyone who needs work done too their roof. Billy.

I got (Jay) Skilled Roofing to give me a quotation to carry out repairs on my leaking roof, replacing old lead work, replacing broken tiles and rotten battens and refitting ridge tiles. Upon arrival I found Jay to be very polite and open with information, he’s not an old school tradesmen who thinks he’s a cut above the rest, he was very clear in explained everything that needed doing and came up with a reasonable price. After agreeing with Skilled Roofing to carry out the work, Jay and his apprentice turned up on the agreed day and time, they carried out the work to a high standard, completed in the agreed timescale and tidy up after themselves. After many quotes from many different qoutes and visits from loads of contractors I decided to to choose Skilled Roofing for many reasons. They clearly explained what and why any work needed to be done. There prices are very fair. The quality and standard of work is absolutely brilliant. They are very polite and respectful to peoples property. Jay takes pride in his work and wont leave untill everything is perfect. I would definitely recommend them to people.

After our roof started leaking during the heavy rain last year, we were glad we called Skilled Roofing. They certainly knew what they were doing and had the problem sorted very quickly. It is nice to see a skilled tradesman take a pride in his work and would highly recommend this company.

We called Skilled Roofing last month, we found their company details on a leaflet that was posted through my door. We called them with reference to the above repair work, The people we spoke to were very polite. They came and inspected the work required within a day. Their quote was very resonable so I gave them the work. We were very satisfied with the repairs carried out, and have had no problems with leaks since. We would definately use this company again. Skilled roofing came out to property promptly after initial enquiry for an assessor to investigate the problems. The were quick to find the source causing the problems and carried out the repairs to solve this. I found the workman to be very polite professional and competent and felt confident in this company at all times. I cannot tell you how pleased I am not only with the sheer quality of the work but the team's commitment working after dark and in the rain. It was not an easy job working with an adjoining thatched roof. They had to strip off all the old slates that were so old they practically volunteered to be removed. Then strip off the old battons and replace a beam that was so badly rotted it crumbled as one touched it. The seal to the adjoining extension has been beautifully executed - it looks almost artistic. The icing on the cake is a row of curved tiles just under the thatch making a real statement of quality. Such a nice team of chaps who even made their own tea.
